Description
Many kids these days are fluent in slang but these words actually mean something quite different many reading comprehension passages. They are then stumbled or completely misunderstand what the text is trying to say.
This worksheet will help with that. Words such as “dab” and “lit” are included among others.
Through the use of group discussions or one-on-one discussions whether in the classroom or at home, students will be able to learn the old school meanings of the various words they already possess in their vocabulary.
Allowing them to write their own definitions will help reinforce the learning and make it their own.
